Hi. I am searching for a source for chokecherries growing wild in the Ottawa Valley and have been unable to find any. I want them for making chokecherry wine. Last year I found them on a relatives property at Lively, near Sudbury. My first experience with them was in Saskatchewan some 25 years ago. I tried it once since moving to Ottawa 25 years ago with berries from a chokecherry in my yard but competition from the robins forced early picking and yielded a poor wine. I’ve not been able to find them growing in the wild. Can you advise me?
    Thanks…peace…Helmut
