The OFNC provides many opportunities to give practical support to nature and natural history.

We have active birding programs, a youth club, a naturalized garden, a peer-reviewed scientific journal, a club news bulletin, field trips, and a public lecture program. They can all use your help.

OFNC activities are carried out by committees of volunteers. Join a committee and help run the Club. Some committees are responsible for program areas, such as Birds, Conservation, Fletcher Wildlife Garden, Macoun Field Club and Publications. Other committees deal with organizational and administrative matters – Awards, Education & Publicity, Events, Finance, and Membership.

  • Safe Wings Ottawa needs volunteers to monitor buildings during spring and fall migration, to transport injured birds, and to help with other tasks. For more information, see safewings.ca/volunteer. (posted Nov. 2017)
