This event is now full – more events will be announced in the near future.
Leader: Jakob Mueller
Meet: NCC Greenbelt Parking Lot P23 on Dolman Ridge Road
The Greenbelt in the east end is visited far less than the west end, yet it is very rich in flora and fauna. This general hike will look at anything and everything we find, including migrating birds, reptiles (if the sun is out), insects, and plants.
The last OFNC event before the pandemic shut everything down was a hike on Dolman Ridge Road (which is closed to vehicles) on March 15, 2020, so in a last-shall-be first approach, it will be where we restart our event programming. This location will allow the group to easily spread out and maintain social distancing. In addition, mask use will be required.
Registration: Pre-registration is mandatory. This event is limited to 10 participants, who must be OFNC members. To register, please email Jakob at jm890_7[at]hotmail.com by Thursday September 17th.
Please note that all participants will be required to properly wear a mask during this event, so please bring one you will be comfortable wearing for the duration.
