Participants of this event will explore the surprisingly rich flora and fauna of the Carlington Park Woods. Flora ranges from upland and mesic mature limestone forest communities, to meadow and scrubland. We can expect some interesting fauna, and will hopefully encounter a variety of invertebrates, birds, and perhaps snakes. Expect a decent workout, as the tour leader will show as much of this habitat as reasonably achievable in the allotted time. The terrain is hilly/rocky and presents a moderate hiking challenge in places. This is a rain or shine event.
