October 13, 2019 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
Leader: Richard Knapton
Location: Meet at the north end of the free NCC parking lot off the north side of Hog’s Back Rd. between Riverside Dr. and Colonel By Dr. Note that at this time, due to the temporary closure of the Hog’s Back Swing Bridge, this can only be accessed from Riverside. http://ncc-ccn.gc.ca/places/hogs-back-park.
We will explore these two parks to see what birds are about, and what the habitats look like. Come and see what has changed since our last visit in late July. There are shrub and wooded areas, open areas, and Rideau River Shoreline (including the spectacular Hog’s Back Falls). Be prepared for walking. Plan for variable weather; bring water and a snack.
Registration: You may send an email by October 11th to bm.ofnevents[at]gmail.com if you would like to be notified of cancellation due to weather. If you would like to let us know of any bird news from the area beforehand, you can use the same address.
